SUGGESTION & CONCERN FORM STAFF COUNCIL BOOK SCHOLARSHIPS Did you know staff council offers a scholarship to cover the cost of books? The process is simple, and open to full and part-time staff members. There are a few other details you need to consider once you complete a course with a grade of C or higher. First, submit this application, a copy of the receipt of purchase for the textbook and a copy of your unofficial transcript with the grade awarded two months after the last day of the semester of your class. Be sure to keep copies of your application and documentation for your records. We will let you know we’ve received your application with an email. QUESTIONS? STAFFCOUNCIL@UNG.EDU Each applicant can receive a maximum of up to $100 per semester (maximum of $200 annually at the Dahlonega, Gainesville, Oconee, and Blue Ridge campuses. The Cumming campus maximum amounts are $50 a semester and $100 a calendar year. Scholarship amounts are subject to change at any time according to Staff Council discretion. Reflect and Move Forward December Spotlight Reflect December presents us with the perfect opportunity to participate in a year-end reflection, a great mindfulness exercise tracking personal growth and practicing gratitude. Set aside some time to reflect on your best memories and moments, areas you would like to improve, and what you are grateful for, then get ready to move forward. Move Forward A new year can be a new start, but only if you make it one! Learn from this past year, stay positive, and look forward to the new year! It reflects relationships built on trust, support, and respect. Relationships and social connections are key to avoiding workplace stress and burnout. Take steps to improve your relational well-being, within the UNG community, by taking advantage of the upcoming holiday gatherings to meet new people and begin to forge new meaningful relationships. TIPS to LIVE WELL UNG Reflect and Move Forward Reflect A gratitude journal can be a great way to reflect on the past year in a positive way. As you write, focus on: Major Accomplishments Overcoming Struggles Ways You Have Grown Don’t Forget the Little Things Tip: Need inspiration? Look back at the photos on your phone. Move Forward After reflecting on the past year, make a plan to move forward, whatever that means to you. Write down your goals. Make sure they are specific and measurable. Don’t let others opinions hold you back. Learn to pivot. Not everything goes according to plan. Tip: Need a visual? Create a vision board so you don’t forget what you are working towards. Relational Well-being You can improve your relational well-being by strengthening your social well-being. You can strengthen your social well-being by: Taking time to get reacquainted with yourself Making new connections Building healthy relationships Getting active together Making an intentional effort to connect
